How do I know if my class is cancelled?
PTP makes every attempt to hold classes as scheduled. In the event of inclement weather you can call the PTP office 609-520-0015 x2 (weather
conditions/class cancellations hotline). A message will be left 30 minutes prior to the start of your class. If the message is not updated we suggest you proceed to your scheduled court time to check court conditions. For classes at Veteran's Park, Hamilton, please call 609-838-0199.
How do I get my child into Tournament Training?
There is no open registration for PTP tournament level classes. Participation is by invite or tryout only. We offer tournament training try-outs 2 x per year, in March and in August. Check calendar for the exact dates. If your child is currently taking with us, they need a recommendation to try-out. However, if their current instructor thinks they are eligible, they don't necessarily need to wait for a formal try-out. As a rule, those juniors who are accepted into a tournament level class demonstrate commitment to the game, are participating in USTA tournaments, play for their school teams, play year-round, drill and supplement with private lessons.
What level should I register for?
If you are currently enrolled in a PTP program please speak to your instructor for his recommended level. If you are a new PTP participant we suggest you review the "skill levels" option on our menu. Determining a skill level in tennis has many components; i.e., stroke mechanics, strategy, footwork, mobility, basic fundamentals. Therefore, it is not a natural progression. You may be in an advanced beginner class for several sessions before you are ready to move to the next level.
When is open registration?
All class registrations are based on a "first come, first served" basis. PTP now offers you the opportunity to register online through Community Pass. Registration start dates are as follows: March 1st - Spring outdoor season & early bird summer camp registration, May 1st - Summer outdoor season & summer camp; August 1st - Fall outdoor season & Winter indoor season.
Can I make-up my class if I miss?
PTP policy states that there are no make-ups for personal absences. Make-ups will be offered only if a class is cancelled due to inclement weather.
Can I get a refund?
PTP policy states there are NO REFUNDS. Extreme circumstances may be considered by the director.
Why is the computer saying I am ineligible?
This could occur for a few different reasons...1)it could be an exclusive class, which means you would need to call the office to be made eligible; 2)you may not be at the correct age group for the given class, which also means that you would need to call the office to be made eligible; or 3) you are confused and you should call the office for help!!!
I can't remember my username or password. What should I do?
