Junior
Mini Junior Tournaments / SAT. 2-4pm @ KCTC (for more info see Tournaments)
Fee: $55.00 per tournament
Junior Team Tennis / SAT. 5:30-7pm @ KCTC ---15- week session
Fee: $338 via CommunityPass + $16 via TennisLink (after your child is put on a team---includes Nike Dri-Fit team jersey)
About USTA Jr. Team Tennis
USTA Jr. Team Tennis brings kids together in teams to play singles, doubles and mixed doubles against other teams. It promotes social skills and important values by fostering a spirit of cooperation and unity, as well as individual self-growth. Also, it’s a fun environment for kids in which they learn that succeeding is really more about how they play the game – win or lose.
How does it work?
This is a USTA sanctioned program. Juniors must be USTA members to participate. (www.usta.com/membership or call 1-800-990-8782) Jr. Team Tennis is for juniors ages 9-18 that are currently enrolled in PTP’s Shining Stars, PreTT, Bronze, Silver or High School Training Programs. Each team is comprised of at least 3 boys and 3 girls. Please make sure you register your child for the right gender. The first few weeks will be practice matches to determine levels & teams. We will then have a parent’s meeting for more information. Once your child is placed on a team, we will provide instructions on how to register your child on TennisLink through the USTA website (additional fee of $16.00). Upon registration each child will receive a Nike Dri-Fit team jersey and will enable the team to qualify for the USTA Jr. Team Tennis District event held in July. Each week you can expect your child to play the entire time. Juniors will have opportunities to play singles, doubles, and mixed doubles with this format.
